Why visit Llogara National Park
A protected pine-and-fir forest straddling the Ceraunian Mountains at 1,027m, where the coastal road crests and the entire Albanian Riviera opens up below — one of the great reveals in Mediterranean road-tripping.
Top things to do
- → Stop at the main viewpoint as the road crests the pass
- → Hike marked trails through the park's pine and fir forest
- → Watch for griffon vultures and, with luck, wild deer
- → Paraglide from the pass toward Dhërmi (seasonal operators)
- → Picnic at one of the roadside rest areas with sea views
Don't miss
- • The main Llogara Pass viewpoint, best just after sunrise or before sunset
Local favourites
- • Grilled meat and byrek at the roadside restaurants near the pass
Hidden gems
- • Quieter forest trails away from the main viewpoint pull-offs
